Grace Lavished Upon Us

This week we will look at Jesus’ first miracle in the book of John. It's easy to whisk through a story like this and miss the wonder of what Jesus did. So often we look at our temporary needs that we lose perspective of the deepest need of our souls. But Jesus not only knows our deepest needs, but he abundantly meets them. And there’s more of that to come. Pray that we would exchange our temporary cares for the deep, lasting grace we get in Jesus and that we would be freshly amazed by his signs and work.

God’s Wrath and Grace Displayed Through a Desert Detour

Numbers 21:4-9 – From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way. 5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.” 6 Then the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died.

The Sleepless Keeper

Psalms 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
